The European Wind Integration Study (EWIS) is an initiative established by the TSO associations of the European transmission system operators in collaboration with the European Commission under the coordination of Elia. It aims to work with all the relevant stakeholders especially representatives of wind generation developers to produce recommendations on common European solutions to wind integration challenges.
TradeWind is a European project funded under the EU’s Intelligent Energy-Europe Programme.
TradeWind, led by EWEA (European Wind Energy Association), aims at facilitating the dismantling of barriers to the large-scale integration of wind energy in European power systems, on transnational and European levels, and to formulate recommendations for policy development, market rules and interconnector allocation methods to support wind power integration.

A concrete approach for a Regional Coordination Service Center within the Central Western European region
Coreso is the Regional Coordination Service Centre subsidiary of Elia, National Grid and RTE.
Coreso provides to the TSOs some services of coordination with the aim to improve the security of supply of electricity for the Central western region of Europe.
European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity
Belpex is the Belgian Power Exchange for anonymous, cleared trading in day-ahead electricity.
Following the requests of the regulators in their actions plans, the TSOs of the Central West European region have organized themselves to prepare a harmonized set of Auction Rules and the set up of a joint subsidiary to operate, as Joint Auction Office, a single auction platform for the region. CASC-CWE S.A. has been designated as Joint Auction Office to operate the activities linked to the long-term explicit auctions.
The Nord Pool market (the Nordic Power Exchange) is the single power market for Norway, Denmark, Estonia, Sweden and Finland.
